Bob the advance starts to come in just above stock factory ideal so it is best to use a tach to get the ideal set first before playen with the curb timming , the best way is get total advance set at full throttel and not to worry about curb timming . Now IF the dist. is in good shap and been tested on a strobe you do not know just what it is doing as per spec. since mostof them were used tomuch when they where new. they are off sometimes a bunch. and some have been changed to the newer curve as it is a cut back setting as there was a update kit to make them lug better .
