If it is simular to the A there is alot to remove to get that gear out. i am in the process of tearing my transmission down. my manual is the IH-8 it does have information to do it. But being a newby at tractor repair i was looking for more information. I'm sure i can do it.

both axle housings, flour pan, pto housing, tranny top plate, brake pedals,fenders,seat, linkage,to give you an idea of how far you have to go.

Maybe wouldn't have to remove axle housing but the smaller the peices the easier to manage.

I'm sure there are more qualified people to guide you as i have been trying to gather the same info in my post a few down on the page.
