Farmall M radiator replacement

Picked up a project M and have been tearing it down for the last couple weeks. Definitely needs a new radiator. Now, the tractor has a bad core with good sheet metal. I just picked up a good used core with bad sheet metal. It appears the sheet metal is soldered/welded to the tanks. Am I right on this? I intend to swap the parts out and make a good radiator. BTW, I used to post here years ago, but fell out of it. Don't know why, but now I got a new project. Chris B.
