It is a non pressure,thermo-siphon system.
I had a over heating problem with my A. To fix it I pulled the radiator off stuck a garden hose in it and flushed it out.
Did in with the engine to. While the radiator was off I stuck the hose in the top hose inlet and let it run until I got clear water.
Worked for me.

PS wash the radiator from the side core [fins] could pluged with dirt.
