Strange Model A

I recently purchased a Farmall A with a s/n FAA 345189 which would elude to it being a 1953 Farmall A. However my tractor has a wide rear axle and a wide front end! Unlike any other model A I have seen, the engine is mounted exactly in the center much like a B model. If anyone happens to know what I might have on my hands please help me out, I'm getting the fever. Thanks!
