The Denny header dont work well in low rpm engines, they may help a 3500+rpm engine breathe more, but they usually screw up a stock engine. Just too much manifold for the cubic inch. Most, just cut the casting away from the intake and lose heat, thats about the most cost effective way to do it, if your good with a hand grinder, wont take long to remove that iron. if the carb cfms are set up correctly, that air naturally cools thru the venturi. Most of them that sweat around the carb flanges on a 90 degree day are very close to being right. You can run a cooler burning fuel, like Ethanol to help cool the mixture down, and run a long air cleaner tube with the filter on the end to the carb inlet. that will help keep air cooler. visit www.thetractorshop.com for more information. or email me.
