Randy, about half of the wobble trouble is usually in the gear under the nosecone piece covering the radiator. Take the radiator cap off, remove the four bolts holding the nosecone on, lift it off and now you will see the end of the steering rod going into a geerbox shaped in a circle. Take the small bolts out of the cover on the geerbox and by hand turn the steering shaft. As you turn the shaft you will see a worm gear turning a beveled gear inside. This will tell you how much play you are getting at this point, usually where the most play is. One way to help this part is take the big nut off the top of the flat gear and turn the gear over or if it is a round gear, turn it around some so it uses another part of the gear. After this if it still has play in it, check the u-joints, the bolster (the big shaft goin down to the front wheels) bushings, and of course the wheel bearings. that"s about it. It"s pretty simple, just a lot of different parts that could all lend to the wobble. Harley
