Personally, if it runs good, has good oil pressure, and doesn't burn a lot of oil or get low on coolant I would run it as-is.

Check the radiator for bubbles while it is running. Bubbles = head gasket out or cracked head/block. If the oil gets milky white, you may also have a cracked block.

If oil consumption is less than a quart every 25 hours or so I would just use it. Remember, these never came with valve seals, so anything that can get past the guides will be burned.
