Well, I torn the left brake off and outer housing, outer disc, intermediate plate, inner disc and primary plate. The brake piston insulator is trash and someone put silicon on it which makes me wander if they thought there was a leak on the bull pinion seal. Could not see any fresh oil and have run it approx 15 hrs so doubt if there is leak at pinion seal. The intermediate and primary plates are grooved approx.3/32 inch and suspect need replaced along with inner and outer friction discs. Also, for the life of me, I cannot find brake adjuster. All I have is two solid steel dowel pins. Finally, I am not able to get the piston assy to come out. What is the best way? Start tractor and apply brake with helper to catch piston or remove brake line and apply air. Book says to tap on outer housing but that is joke!
