The bull gears can be removed and replaced through PTO opening but personaly I had rather remove deck cover than try to wrestle them on through the small hole. Since you would be removing both of them I would be bleeding fron tip of fingers to elbow and run out of cuss words if I was trying to work them through hole. Would guess they weigh close to 50 lbs each. Just my opinion.
