There should an adjustment on the pedal itself, but there is adlustment in the linkage as well. The IT manual would probaly be of some help for you too. When the adjustment is finished you should have one inch of free play in the pedal. Also try greasing the throwout bearing. On the old cubs, there was a hand hole in the bottom of the bell housing and that was the access to the grease fitting. If the linkage adjustment and the grease don't do the trick, then you have some type of mechanical problem that will require more attention. Hope this helps
