Sounds like its building pressure at the top hose,thats either a plugged radiator or a bad head gasket.I had an old Chrysler with a plugged radiator many years ago....it would pop little holes in the top tank like gysers all the time.The pressure had to go somewhere afterall.The top hose swelled up twice normal size.Replacing the radiator solved the problem....well,that problem anyway.
