I too have dealt with radiators missing the hose lip. The sandpaper will definitely help, but one other thing I have done is to use a different style of hose clamp. The type I am talking about are used on silicon style hoses. They will look like your typical hose clamp, but have an extra stainless steel band around the inside. They tend to hold more even pressure across the hose instead of scrunching it up as the serrations dig in when you tighten a standard type clamp. If you have a heavy equipment parts supplier around, try them first since a lot of the big machines are using silicon style of hoses. Good Luck! Billy
