Stubob: Just briefly looking at 1975 buyers guide with 574 and 1984 buyers guide with 584, I'd have to say the biggest difference is grill and sheet metal. The front casting that front end fastens to is different. Power train specs are the same. They were both available with Utility type rear axles with pressed steel wheels, or live axles and Farmall type wheels. The grill on 584 is same as 66-86 while grill on 574 is a mix of 56 and 66. Sheet metal around perimeter of grill on 574 is 56 while mesh is 66.
