I work at a NAPA store and we still do have the big catalog racks although we use them less and less there are many times we still need them. I checked the Clevite HD engine parts catalog and the smallest Waukesha it lists is an FC. But the FC had a 3-1/4" bore, so the rings won"t work. When I started rebuilding my Waukesha 20 yrs ago, I couldn"t find the right bearings even then. I was able to get rings though. The mains that the machine shop got fit the crank, but were too small for the block. And of course the rods were poured babbit. Luckily for me, My gandad was a machinist and he poured new rod bgrs and main brgs. He also made new bushings for the timing gears and a couple valve guides. He had to make a jig and a boring bar for his lathe to line bore the main bearings. He even put shims in so I could take them up if they ever get loose. Most engine parts catalogs have rings and other parts listed by size. If you know the bore and the width of each ring, the parts store should be able to match something up. Tell them to look in the back of their book for size listings. I you have no luck with them, send me an email.

When dealing with thinner metals like sheet tin, a long bolt and
