joe, guy fay's response was exactly what i learned, after getting "reminded" by safety people that my M, Super C, etc didn't have a rops, so any helpers were at risk in a rollover. if you put a rops on and the tractor flipped, an axle could break and leave you worse off. safety people didn't like the thought that rops weren't available for the old girls.

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
