Hugh I often wondered where your farm was in Nova Scotia, now I know. I lived in "The Valley" up Middleton way for 9 great years. Yep, yesterday was a large day (as they say in Newfoundland)(or a good day for the cow to calf) up here in this valley, but today was quite different. I drove up to Renfrew to the CIH dealer to get parts, they were having a Forestry Demonstration day, woodsplitters, winches, one man cutting and splitting machines etc. It snowed, wet and heavy, all afternoon, while it was raining in Ottawa! Just lovely, *** lovely weather! D**n oil barons anyhow, gas prices are about .90/litre up here, don't know about heating oil, I haven't bought any this season. Insurance company told me I had to change my tank (too old)so I am gonna run it dry first! D**n insurance companies! Been heating a lot with wood, keeps you warm several ways - once when you cut it, twice when you split it, thrice when you haul it in, fourth when you sit by it, fifth when you haul the ashes out! Ok, I think I got it outta my system now!! I knew you would know where Shubenacadie was for sure!
