I finished tearing down the 300 (c169) today and as i suspected from the hard knock she had the #1 rod bearig was completly gone. To my suprize when I got the pistons and crank out what do I find to my surprize there is not a mark or scoring grooves ect on the crank or the rod. This motor was ran several hours 10 to 12 at least with this rod knocking. I realize I still have to mic the crank and rod end but i am schocked there is no visable damage. Anyone every see this before. Who knows maybe lady luck is with me.
