I have a 544 hydro with a 2001 loader. I use it for everything. Blow out a 1/2 mile drive way that drifts in big time, when it actully snow decent. I used it for plowing and tillage on just over 5 acres this year , but anything more than that I will use a gear drive. I hydro gas will guzzle. Mine is a deisel . I know this is outa line and you said no green, but a 1020 JD deisel with a good matched loader is tough to beat. Neighbor has one $7500. dealer told him sell for $9500 but he wants to get rid of it cuase he sold the farm to me :). Also a massey 255 up to a 285 are good too. I would not limit yourself to 45 HP. better to have a little extra snuff than have the tractor struggling.
