I don't think anyone really knows what the prefix letters stand for, I certainly don't. I am sure that they stand for something that made a lot of sense to the designers, and differentiated between the different chassis, but has been lost through the years. The M is FBK, the W6 is WBK, the A is FAA, the B is FAB, I think the H is FBH, and I think the W4 is WBH. I am pretty sure the F stands for Farmall and the W for Wheatland (or another W word that stands for standard tread.
