I recently aquired a 1951 WD9 that has sat for at least 12 years. The owners widow knew very little about what shape it was in, but the price was right, or so I thought. I fired it up today. It took a while to hit on all four but it ran quite nice at 160 to 170F for about an hour with no trouble, then suddenly big bubbles appeared at the rad and it started pushing water out. I haven't had much experience with these tractors but my quess is a cracked head or blown head gasket. However I would have thought that the bubbles and pushing water would have happened as soon as it fired up, or at least as soon as the temp came up, but it took nearly an hour. Any ideas? I hope I don't end up in the waiting-for-a-head line up.
