John T has it correct. Three Ohms would be reasonable. There is going to be wattage that needs to be dumped (less than 20) however if being conservative is good, I would use a resistor that could dissipate 30 watts. Resistors heat up, that is where the power goes. A ready source might include a heater blower resistor from automotive heaters. They come in a package with 2, or three resistors mounted on a small plate. One of these will probably check in close to 3 ohms. (or use a combination of them to achieve about three ohms) Only use mechanical connections, not solder to fasten the resistor wires if you remove them from their assembly. Good luck, JimN
