Kevin: I don't think I would want that loader on a 240U, particularly if the tractor is an ag version. That 2404 in the photo while it is much the same tractor as yours, will have a lot heavier front end. If you notice one other item in the photo, the 2000 loader arms are designed in such a way they give lots of reach even for loading large trucks where loader has to be raised full height to reach over the side. The main problem with this design, is when loader is lower than 5' off the ground, it extends much further beyond the front axle. Inches from front axle count bigtime when that bucket is full of dirt. You will also find a 2000 loader or any loader designed for reach will require a lot more room, especially noticable in tight corners. It all depends on what you wish to use a loader for. If it's yard work where you are manuvering around buildings, trees, vehicles, etc., a loader designed so bucket is much closer to tractor front will be much better. If your loading big trucks or any other high and long reach applications the a 2000 or like loader is for you. Personally I would put a much heavier tractor than a 240 under a loader for that latter use. I had a 560, with a 1/2 ton counter weight under my 2000 loader.
