There are several people who do similar things on ebay. To save on ebay fees many people sell a $25 item for .99 cents with $25 or $30 of shipping charges. It saves them about 75% off their ebay fees.

I think your idea would work. Not sure how ethical it is though. I don't remember how the listing fees on ebay work, but you could always list your Mag at the real price and maybe sell some of them.
