Ben,
The Red is correct. The seat with the shock absorber is the optional Monroe seat, designed and built by the Monroe Shock Absorber Co. They sold these optional seats to all the tractor manufacturers as optional equipment, and they may have been available to dealers as well for "last minute" upgrades. I have one on my '49 M and one on my '39 A-C RC. Phil
