That is 8 quarts in the crankcase pan, does not include the filter. Start it, run it awhile, let it drain down, and add until it runs out the upper one. I suppose it could be plugged. It will take a small pipe wrench or vise grips to get it out, you will garf it up some. Turn to left to remove, has normal threads. New ones are available.
