Hi, I read your post regarding steering problems on your friend's IH 300 Utility. At the risk of sounding like a shoe salesman, I decided to respond to your post because I can help your friend. I build power steering units for that model of tractor. The units I provide are hydrostatic and actually bypass the steering gear box...so your friend would not have to rebuild his tractor's steering gear box. After installing the unit, he could steer the tractor with the palm of his hand. I don't mean for this to be an advertisement...only letting you know that there is hope for your friend's tractor that will be much better then the original steering. Best Wishes, Roland Jackson 620-357-6546 www.jacksonpowersteering.com
