I use my '26 Regular as a mower tractor (homemade 120" 4-blade belly mower). I added the external vairable speed linkage and used the original governor. I don't quite remember exactly what I changed but I used lighter governor weight springs and moved the governor arm pull spring closer to the pivot point. Any way I ended up with a nice range of governor action. Most of the time I operate just a little above idle to 1/4 speed. The mower is run by a 20 hp Kohler twin.
