I paid three dollars the other day for a "sump check valve spring" (it looked like a ball point pen spring). Of course I paid it, I was too chicken to use the spring out of a pen, and it probably cost the dealer more than that to stock it and pay the parts guy to walk back to the bin and pick it up!
