I presume you have removed the cam drive gear and now need to retime it? If so there's a timing mark on the crankshaft gear, a pair of marks on the cam gear, and a mark on the hydraulic pump/distributor drive gear. (On the cam gear the marks are small prick punches 180 deg apart on the front side of the gear - punch below for a photo) With the crank at TDC and the cam set so both valves on the #1 cylinder are closed, align the nearest mark on the cam gear with the crank gear mark. Now with the distributor set so the rotor is under the #1 plug tower, the hydraulic pump gear timing mark should be aligned with the other cam gear timing mark. ---- There is no timing for the governor or governor idler gear. Just slide 'em on however they want to go!
