For example you've got both 806 and 856, each sold about 4,000,000 total hp, but then look at the hours some of those have logged. Quite common to find one with 20,000 hours. Stack that against the H and M, which looks the best. I don't know, and probably no one does.

I've always said, the reason we have so many decent H and M tractors around today, is that they were gassers or gas start diesels and the diesels that followed made the gassers quite inefficient. No one wanted to take the time for a gas start diesel. Just look at discussion on here today, how many folks think a Farmall H should be 25' down the drivway before the 4th cylinder fires the second time? Most Farmall H start up problems could be answered by saying, "Let it warm up".
