I did not have that shaft out of the machine, so can only surmize what is in there. It may be an input shaft from the jeep, or a home made shaft, or a machine made shaft. In any case, it is mearly a shaft with splines to match the clutch disk, and a nipple to go into the pilot bearing, and a U joint yoke is welded to the other end. It may be the original yoke from the farmall, but the double joint is not there, only one. They appearantly fitted a flange bearing on the inside of the bell housing, to help support the shaft, although I dont know that it is necessary. The clutch linkage is from the jeep, and is more complicated than necessary, and if I ever take out the engine, I will simplify it. It runs suprisingly well, and even sounds good with the straight pipe. The oversize rims from an H that were welded to the cutoff steel gears it up a bit, and the high speed engine makes this f12 fast. I am gonna take it to the fair next fall, and park it next to my friend's regular with the model A ford engine, and see if anybody notices.
