lever assy back together like it was before
the stiffness is mainly in the over center action / going into - out of locked in
just wear in the bushings?

don't think the stem is bent, it moves freely up until the overcenter pos

don't have the test stuff
got a ruff estimate measure of end of threads on the stem to the block?
