What would you be powering with the rocker arms?

I've been meaning to build a logging arch for three years now, keeps getting pushed to the back burner. I like the design that uses a choker chain hooked to a sloping beam above; as you pull forward, the chain rides up the beam and lifts the nose of the log a few inches off of the ground. It is just hooked up to the tractor like a trailer.
