I jusy cant figure what happened here. I went at it again after I got home with the same setup, puller and bearing seperator and it still wouldnt budge. I read all the post's that everyone left, I especially liked the one about gauling the shaft up when it went on but I knew that wasn't the case since it slide on without any problem. I grabbed the porta band and was about ready to start in on it when I thought maybe it just needs a little stress relief. So I got a drill and a 1/4" bit and drilled down to the crank, filled it with pb blaster, put the puling setup back on it and started cranking till it wouldn't crank anymore. Then I gave it a good hard smack with the sledge and it poped and moved. I will say that I had to smack and crank it all the way off. Took about a half hour of cranking and swinging to get it all the way off. I dont know what you guys think but Im gonna hone that thing out to a tight slide fit and drill another hole and thread both up for set screws. Im not going through that ever again. Any comments on my idea there??? scott#2
