300 OVERHAUL, FIRECRATER PISTONS OR NO

All,
What are your opinions on the use of flat top versus the high compression fire crater pistons? My tractor has flat tops now. Will I see any increased HP by going to the fire craters? If I use the fire craters will I need to change anything else such as cam grind, carb, distributor, or governor. I am at that crucial decision stage of the rebuild process and your advice is appreciated.
