Farmall C Lowest Serial Number?

I went and looked at a Farmall C for sale yesterday. It has a full set of cultivators and seed planters, lights, fenders, decent mis-matched rear tires, hydraulics, PTO, sheet metal nothing special. Starts and runs, but needs a generator and the carb worked on, as it leaks through gas. When I checked the serial number: FC 612. Doesn't this make it an early 1948? Has anyone seen, or heard about, one with a lower serial number still running and around? Asking price is $1200
