Wow, Sorry Bob Im here late, just found this on this page, but Im not much help anyway without any schematic in front of me. By "brushless" are there still slip rings with any external Voltage Regulator Module or is it all integrated into the rotor internally??? Regardless, my first impression is inadequate rotor current/excitation, but if it had an external VR module I would suspect or replace/substitute it first, but if not (all integrated) then Im afraid Im of noooooooooo advice whatsoever, Sorry, wish I could help to repay all you have helped me, but on those type things without a schematic Im not much count. John T
