I have an H4 magneto and the serial number ends in "X" and there is an "XR" stamped on the impulse coupling. According to the Blue Ribbon IH manual on mags this means that the mag has a 10 degree rotation/spark range rather than the regular 35 degree rotation on the normal H4 mags meant for W6,H,M, etc. Anyhow, this would explain my frustration with trying to get my W6 going with this mag and having no luck. Does anyone know what this mag may have come from and better yet does anyone know how to convert it to the standard H4 configuration with the 35 degree rotation/range? Thanks!!
