I would never use brake fluid. I DOES attract moisture, and will only make matters worse. I have taken brake cylinders apart that were not used for a long time, and both the iron cylinders and the aluminum pistons were badly corroded, and the pistons swell when they corrode, making matters worse. I have kerosene in 2 engines now, and am trying to find KROIL locally, which is supposed to work really good. ATF is also very thin, and penetrates well.
