Keith & Shawn, try to find someone with a floor model band type of hack saw and whack them axels off. You may also be able to rent one at a tool rental place. I used my neighbors on my SC and took about 10" off of each one. I then milled a beveled hole in the center of each one and slightly rounded the outside diameter of each axel to make it look very original. I got tired of walking into them in the shop while restoring the tractor.
