They probably are not stainless. There would be little or no reward for a manufacturer to do that. They may be tinned copper. To see if this is the case (if you are interested) Try to solder a piece of it. If it takes solder reddily, it is tinned copper. Plugs that fire the cylinder reliably, and do not overheat causing preignition, are good plugs. I personally shy away from Champion plugs, however Champion makes plugs accepted as the best there are in formula 1 and other race cars cranking 15-18 thousand rpm. Good luck, JimN
