Unless you KNOW that ignition is the source of your hard starting, all you're doing is throwing money at the problem. There are all sorts of things that could be causing the hard starting:

1. Worn or corroded points.
2. Old or bad spark plugs.
3. Old or bad spark plug wires.
4. Dirty or incorrectly set carburetor.
5. Bad distributor cap.
