Char-lynn Pump alignment

Hi, I'm have trouble getting the pump pulley aligned with the crankshaft pulley. the problem is the fan is in the way. I have add the fan spacers to extend the fan closer to the radiator, but it's still off. How many spacers are suppose to be on the fan? I have two( 2 ). I can get the alignment close but not true. I appreciate to help. Thanks,
