Might well be a fuel supply problem. I have had simlar gremlins. Sounds like you have checked out the spark. Clogged fuel line may be causing starvation at higher throttle. Alternately, the air fuel mix at the carb could be too lean. 3 things you need to start fuel, spark, compression. Just a thought!
