This old beast was bought new by my dad and uncle and it has been in the shop many times over the years, always with engine trouble. Two overhauls, four burnt valves, ect, in 6000 hours. The rest of the tractor has been trouble free except one shifter rebuild and one clutch. Still has the original ta. It was last rebuilt about seven years ago in the middle of the winter when she dropped a valve. Dad wanted to keep it for winter feeding and I did not have my heated shop then so it was off to the local CNH dealer. Dealer mechnic has great reputation but with these gassers and the stuff they call gas these days you never know. Anyway's it has to move out of the shop soon as it takes up 2/3's of it and I have to many other progect's to get to. I'am thinking of transfering the cab to my 756D and using that for feeding but we all know how they like cold weather but at least it would'nt suck down a tank of fuel a week. Good luck on your overhaul.
