Allan, that cam is what most questions on the garden tractor board on hydros are about and your's would just be a bigger version ( I have never seen a full size Hydro tractor). I have a IHC Cub Cadet 129 that has the same problem in that cam is wore, should be no play and a shock absorbing spring in there that could be broke. Just go to the other board and reserch hydro
