John I had the exact same thing happen a few years back on my 584, thought it was the battery, bought a new battery and when it didn't go I thought I had a dud battery , took it back to the dealer who tested the battery and told me the battery was fine, he said it was in the soleniod that is bolted to the starter, I think two bolts, he gave me a new one and told me to go put it on..haven't had any problem since. The starter had got slow and then wouldn't start, just as if the battery was dead..that's all it was, not a costly repair either...Mike in exeter Ontario
