They will do this , but is your heat riser woking like it is suppose to probably not is the bimetal spring on the outside of the maifold in place and does the counter balance arm working freely and the other thing that has a lot to do with how fast the manifold warms up is that there is carbon build up below the butterfly on the heat riser and this will not allow the exhaust heat to get down around the intake fast enough . the only way to clean it out is to split the exhaust from the intake and chip it out but unless your ready to buy a new exhaust then leave it alone they do not come apart vary well and 98.5 % of the time ya will break something .
