I had a 78 Spitfire for a while back in the day (high school). It was a fun little machine! Paid $400 for it and drove it about 3 winters before the track ripped. They wanted $600 for a new track! Brother found one with the engine blown for $200, we swapped engines and traded for an Arctic Cat. We actually had 7 snowmobiles at one time when I was in high school. Only 5 people in the family, but man did we have fun with friends on the weekends. They were all 70's models we picked up for under $300 and fixed up... Still have a bunch of them, but just as collectables now. For riding my bro has a 92 Arctic Cat Prowler 440 liquid and I have a 96 Panther 440 2-up. No snow the last couple of winters though... in ND or AZ, LOL.
